Readying Yourself

Congratulations on accepting your offer to Nanyang Technological University (NTU)!

You will receive a registration email from the NTU Office of Admissions with instructions on matriculation and enrolment. Please read the instructions carefully and complete all required steps to officially begin your studies at NTU. A comprehensive guide highlighting important dates and deadlines is available for your reference.

Your Matriculation Number will be displayed on screen after acceptance. Other steps after this can only be completed after you have obtained your Matriculation Number.

Note: You must complete the online matriculation in July 2026 after obtaining your matriculation number to be officially registered as a student of NTU.

NTU offers a range of on-campus housing options, including student halls and graduate housing.

  • First-year undergraduate students are guaranteed on-campus housing.
  • To be eligible to apply for accommodation in the Halls of Residence, you must be a full-time, matriculated, campus-based undergraduate student and complete online matriculation by the given deadline.
  • International students must ensure their Student's Pass is valid throughout their stipulated period of Hall stay.
  • Subsequent housing applications are typically competitive and based on availability, eligibility, and past contributions.
  • Cost of rental from halls and rooms differ, see here.
  • Alternative housing options such as nearby housing estates also differ in cost of living. NTU has a guide for safely renting in Singapore.

For the latest policies and application details, please refer to the NTU Housing website.

As required by the Singapore Government, international students must hold a valid Student’s Pass issued by the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA).

NTU will provide guidance on the Student’s Pass application process after you accept your offer. Refer to NTU’s official Student's Pass information page for updated procedures and timelines.

  • International students must complete formalities with the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA).
  • NTU will inform you about Student’s Pass collection or verification appointments.

Ensure you attend your assigned slot and bring all required documents.

All full-time international students must complete a pre-enrolment medical check-up before the start of their academic programme.

  • Health screening for Semester 1, AY2026–27 should start in May 2026, and not earlier, to ensure the medical report is valid within the required three-month period before the semester begins.
  • Completing the health screening too early may result in the report expiring before the term starts.
  • The screening can be done locally in Singapore by Raffles Medical Group (RMG) or Overseas.

You may also refer to the NTU Pre-Enrolment Medical Check-up under the International Students tab for more information.
