Introduction

Singapore’s Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) network is coming through NTU’s main campus. Linked to the Jurong Region Line, three MRT stations will serve the NTU Smart Campus: JW3 (Nanyang Gateway), JW4 (Nanyang Crescent) and JW5 (Peng Kang Hill)*. These stations will contribute to NTU’s campus vibrancy and provide much easier connections to the rest of the island. The Jurong Region Line is Singapore’s seventh MRT line, serving the western part of Singapore. Connected to key activity nodes in Jurong, NTU will be at the epicentre of knowledge creation, innovation and industry engagement in the Jurong Innovation District and the new Tuas Mega Port, which is in close proximity.

Enhancing NTU's island-wide transport connections

With the new stations at NTU’s doorstep, students, employees and visitors will enjoy shorter travel times and more travel options to their destinations.

Students, employees and visitors can look forward to faster commutes, with time savings of 25 minutes from Jurong East MRT or Choa Chu Kang MRT stations to NTU’s main campus. Commuters from Pasir Ris MRT could potentially shorten their trip by 35 minutes to campus using the JRL.
