Pre-Enrolment Medical Check-up

As part of the onboarding process for new students, you are required to complete a medical check-up before the start of your academic programme.

Students can complete the medical check-up at:

All students will need to complete the Medical Check-up Form (MC1 Form) and bring it along with you for your medical check-up appointment. You may refer to the MC1 Form Guide on how to complete your medical history.

If you have your medical check-up at a non-Raffles medical clinic, submit your documents (medical report, MC1 form, etc.) through the endorsement portal at https://ntuportal.rafflesconnect.com/. A fee of $16.35 (including GST) applies.

Unless you hear from us to the contrary, you may assume that your medical report is in order.

Students who intend to complete the medical check-up at Raffles Medical @ NTU or other selected Raffles Medical Clinics.

Female students who are expecting their menstrual period to coincide with the medical check-up, please complete your medical check-up after the last day of your period. This is to avoid having to come back a second time to complete the urine test, as an ongoing or recent period will interfere with the results of the urine test.

Students enrolling into the Biological Sciences related programmes+ are required to take the Hepatitis B screening blood test in addition to the standard medical check-up and MC1B form must be completed for the Hepatitis B screening blood test.

For students enrolling into the Medicine (MED) or Chinese Medicine (CMED) programme, you are required to complete the requirements indicated in both forms below:-

 Special medical conditions to note:

Hepatitis B - Students with this condition are not eligible for the Chinese Medicine programme from the School of Biological Sciences.

Partial Colour Blindness - Students are eligible for engineering programmes only when they are able to correctly identify red and green wires. Students are, however, not eligible for the Chinese Medicine programme when they are colour blind, whether complete or partial, and regardless of whether they can correctly identify red and green.

All full-time international students must complete pre-enrolment medical check-up before the start of your academic programme. The university reserves the right to refuse your admission should you decide to decline this process or if you do not complete the pre-enrolment medical check-up by the deadline.

For students enrolling in Semester 1 of AY2026–27, health screening should begin in May 2026 (and not earlier) to ensure the medical report remains valid within the required three-month period from the start of the term.

Female students whose menstrual period is expected to coincide with the scheduled medical check-up are advised to complete the check-up after their period has ended.  This helps avoid the need for a second visit, as menstruation can affect the accuracy of the urine test results.
