Culture Safe Insights @ NTU

i. Culture Safe Insights @NTU is a University-wide safety culture survey tool developed to assess perceptions across Schools, Departments and Research Centres (SDCs) in relation to five Safety and Health (S&H) attributes, namely leadership, management systems, communication, and behaviours. The survey supports NTU’s ongoing efforts to strengthen a proactive, engaged and robust Safety and Health culture across its SDCs.

ii. The survey captures staff perceptions across five key safety culture attributes. The list of questions under each attribute is provided in Appendix 1.

iii. Responses from SDC management and staff are recorded separately, allowing for a comparison of management and staff perspectives

iv. The survey findings are also used to support the prioritisation of safety and health initiatives, with the aim of fostering a more positive and progressive safety and health culture.

The objectives of the Culture Safe Insights are to:

i. Assess current management and staff perceptions of attributes such as leadership, systems and behaviours within the SDC.

ii. Highlight attributes where there is significant perception difference between management and staff.
