For All Other Students
Book your check-in appointment using the information in the hall offer letter and arrange for proxy collection if you are not able to perform check-in personally.

Note: Students who are arriving after office hours are advised to arrange for proxy collection or look for alternative housing options for that day.

Arranging for Proxy Collection
You should submit your proxy collection request via One Stop Portal at least one week before your appointment. Note that any late submission may delay the key collection process.

On the day of the check-in appointment ...

  • Arrive at the Hall Office of your assigned Hall. You may find the Hall Office addresses at the respective Hall pages. 
  • Ensure that you have your matriculation card, and NRIC/passport, as well as the receipt for payment of Hall Acceptance Fee (if applicable), for verification purposes.
  • You (or your assigned proxy) must be present in person at the time of the appointment to complete the check-in.


After collecting the keys to your room ...

  • You may move into your room after collecting your keys. Do note that hall fees will be charged upon the collection of keys.

  • You would receive an email to perform inventory check and declaration. Ensure that furniture and fittings in your room are in working condition, and submit an Inventory Declaration via the One-Stop portal.

  • If you are staying in a room that is for more than one resident, note that each resident is required to submit an individual inventory declaration.

  • For every semester that you intend to use a refrigerator, please submit a declaration and make online payment via the One-Stop portal.

  1. What furniture is provided?
  2. Every hall comes with a writing desk, chair, bed, fan and wardrobe. Please bring your own bedsheets and pillowcases, and personal items like pillows and blankets if necessary.

  3. How do I get my Proof of Residence?
  4. To obtain the Proof of Residence / Full Residential Address, please raise a request at One Stop @ SAC.  For more information, please refer to this knowledge base article.

  5. Are meals provided as part of the hall stay?
  6. No, meals are not provided. There are canteens located in each hall cluster. Please refer to https://www.ntu.edu.sg/life-at-ntu/leisure-and-dining for more information

  7. When is Move-in? 
  8. Move-in starts after mid-July to August. There are different move-in periods for different categories of students. You should make your check-in appointment using the information in the email sent to you.​

  9. Can I change my Move-in (Key Collection) appointment date?
  10. You are highly encouraged to keep to your appointment date. If you wish to make any changes, you may access to the booking page to select another available slot.

  11. When can I collect my room keys?
  12. Make an appointment using the information in the email sent to you. After you have booked a key collection slot, arrive at the Hall Office of your assigned Hall during your slot. Please note that the opening hours of the Hall Offices are 8.30 am – 5.45 pm on Mondays to Thursdays and 8.30 am – 5.15 pm on Fridays. Hall Offices are closed for lunch (1.00 pm - 1.45 pm) and on Sat, Sun and Public Holidays.

  13. What happens if I arrive after office hours?
  14. If you are arriving after office hours, you are advised to arrange proxy collection or look for an alternative housing option for that day.

  15. How do I perform room inventory check? 
  16. You would receive an email to perform inventory check and declaration. Ensure that the furniture and fittings in your room are in working condition, and submit an Inventory Declaration via the One-Stop portal.

  17. Can I move in before the stated move-in period?
  18. No, you may not move in earlier than the stated move-in period due to operational constraints. For international students, please seek alternative accommodation if you are arriving early. You may find more resources at Alternative Housing Options.​
