Latest Updates

As part of the Jurong Region Line (JRL) MRT construction project, viaduct segment launching works will be carried out from end December 2023 until Q4 2025. Please see the infographic below for the schedule and location of the works.

  • The works will take place both in the day and night, and this may impact noise levels in the vicinity during this period. Rest assured that mitigation measures, such as noise barriers and shields, are in place, and all construction activities are being monitored to ensure that noise levels are kept within permissible limits.
  • We seek your understanding that some sections of the works can only be conducted during the late hours to minimise the impact to traffic and bus services. General working hours are listed in the following table. Please note that the work schedule and timings may be extended, depending on weather conditions and any work exigencies.
 Work Days Work Hours
Daytime
Mondays to Saturdays 8:30am to 7:00pm
Nighttime Mondays to Saturdays/Sundays 12:00am or after last bus service (whichever is later) to 5:30am

  • Motorists travelling along Nanyang Drive and Nanyang Avenue are advised to slow down near construction sites, and follow the instructions of traffic marshals on site. Road lanes may be temporarily affected to facilitate the delivery of equipment.

The bus stops on both sides of the road near Hall 11 and North Hill Halls will be relocated as shown in the map below.

  • Pedestrians are advised to use the new sheltered linkways and diverted footpaths. Do look out for vehicles when crossing the road.
  • Motorists are advised to drive carefully and follow the traffic signs.
  • The SBS and campus shuttle bus routes and timings will remain the same.
