Introduction

The Certificate in Responsible Generative AI Governance, a joint certification between Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore and the Singapore Computer Society (SCS), aims to recognise and certify professionals in Responsible Generative AI Governance.

This certification equips professionals with the essential knowledge for the responsible implementation of Generative AI (GAI) in their organisations. It covers GAI's capabilities, limitations, and associated ethical risks, along with strategies for safe deployment. Learners will engage in prompt engineering to create relevant text and images. Additionally, this certification addresses key considerations in adopting, designing, and governing GAI solutions, focusing on the avoidance of common pitfalls and the management of security risks, including prompt injection and jailbreaking.

The certification comprises 2 courses:
  1. Responsible Generative AI and Applications
  2. Addressing Issues in Generative AI System Design and Deployment

Learners will complete assignments and/or quizzes after each set of relevant concepts, applying their knowledge to real-world scenarios. These assessments are crucial for tracking progress and reinforcing key concepts. The result slip will be issued together with the course certificate upon the successful completion of each course. SCS Members who successfully pass both courses, and an additional final examination will be eligible for the award of the “Certificate in Responsible Generative AI Governance”.

The credits earned from these 2 courses can be stacked to NTU’s FlexiMasters in Responsible Applied Artificial Intelligence.

This certification is offered in collaboration with SCS, who will reach out to applicants to provide more information about this certification.

To earn the Certificate in Responsible Generative AI Governance, non-SCS Members must sign up for the SCS Professional Membership where they will be issued with a verifiable digital badge (downloadable) after passing all courses’ assessments and a final examination.
