WoMen fEST 2021

We are thrilled to celebrate our 5th anniversary of Wo+Men fEST this year on 12 November at 3 PM (SGT)!

This year, themed as 'Inspiring Learning in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics)', the event aims to highlight the efforts in the development of innovative approaches to understand and inspire learning in STEM.

The event will feature five inspiring NTU academics from across disciplines covering creative inspired learning through arts in STEM education, children’s ideas about STEM, and the promotion of resilient and equitable communities and more. In celebrating the significant milestone, our participants are entitled to enjoy a free online movie screening over the weekend and a chance to win Grab vouchers via the social media contest.

The Wo+Men fEST is also a platform to call for applications for the Women in Engineering, Science, and Technology Development Grant. The Grant supports 17 early career engineers, scientists, and technologists.

The first Wo+Men fEST, Women and Men for Engineering, Science, and Technology event, was held on 7 November 2017, in conjunction and commemorating the 150th anniversary of Nobel Laureate, Marie Curie. The event brings together women and men within the NTU community to share and learn the exciting advances in engineering, science, and technologies. The Wo+Men fEST event is held annually around 7 November to commemorate the birthday and success of Marie Curie who is the only Nobel laureate in two different science categories (Physics 1903 and Chemistry 1911).
