In an op-ed penned by Dr Kumaran Rajaram, senior lecturer from the Nanyang Business School at NTU Singapore, he recommends three strategies for project managers leading a team: prioritizing one’s priorities, managing your energy with a laser focus mindset and dealing with procrastination.

“High performance teams with strong track records are often swamped with work, facing multiple assignments and many deadlines. For project managers leading such teams, one essential skill is effective time and energy management,” he wrote.

“The blissfulness in managing high performance teams as a project lead boils down to the ability to be mindful in managing energy within the limited time stipulated for the projects or tasks at hand,” Dr Rajaram added, capping off the piece.
