NTU’s swimming complex got a major glow-up last September and is making a splash as the new home for university sports such as swimming and aquathlon.

Beyond the Olympic-sized main pool, there’s a new two-lane lap pool for fitness swimming, alongside a bigger leisure pool for relaxed dips. Friends can sprawl out on sun loungers at the pool deck after a busy school day, while

upgraded showers and changing facilities complete the experience.

“I was excited to check out the upgraded facilities. The pool is almost unrecognisable from the one I used as a freshman. The new complex looks modern, brighter and more vibrant,” says the captain of NTU’s water polo team, Andre Tham, a second-year accountancy student.

For Ng Yee Zher, vice-president of NTU’s lifesaving team, it’s the little things that make the difference. He says: “The new shower cubicles are spacious. I also love the new changing rooms and the upgraded starting blocks at the edge of the pool that help us better prepare for competitions.”

Fast passes and big action as NTU's water polo team trains at the upgraded main pool.

The swimming complex is open daily. NTU students and staff can enter using the NTU Pass app.
