Ariba Account

1) Account Type

  • Standard Account

When you first register, your account defaults to a Standard Account. The Standard Account includes all features needed to work with NTU and is free of charge.

  • Enterprise Account

Upgrading to an Enterprise Account may incur fees from Ariba, which are not covered by NTU.  Therefore, the Standard Account is recommended for NTU transactions.

Suppliers with an Ariba Enterprise Account will incur supplier fees when the total transaction value reaches SGD 70K and the document count (POs and invoices) reaches 5, across all customer relationships under the same account. Click here for more information on Ariba pricing.

To understand the differences between the Ariba Standard Account and the Enterprise Account, please refer to this page.

2) GST Profile Setup

In compliance with IRAS GST regulations, setting up the GST details in Ariba Network (AN) account’s legal profile is mandatory for Singapore GST-registered supplier.

This setup is required to issue a Tax Invoice when billing NTU for taxable supplies under NTU purchase orders.  Failure to meet IRAS GST requirements may result in NTU rejecting your invoice.

Example,

Before configuring your legal profile in Ariba, the invoice copy will show "Standard Invoice".

After the configuration, the invoice copy will show "Tax Invoice".

3) Good Receipt Notification

E-Invoice submission is conditional on completing the delivery and goods receipt (GR) processes.  The order status will be "Received" once the GR process is completed.  If the order status is "Ordered", "New", "Shipped", "Changed", or "Failed", please contact the requester/buyer directly to facilitate the GR process.

Refer to the user guide to set up Goods Receipt notifications in your Ariba Network and receive email alerts whenever NTU completes a goods receipt.

4. Supplier Network Account Creation

Suppliers should register for an Ariba account with a generic email address to keep the account active and accessible, particularly for password resets.
