Introduction
At the end of this course, the physiotherapists will demonstrate foundational competence in restricted prescribing within the musculoskeletal (MSK) scope of practice. They will understand the pharmacological principles, legal and ethical responsibilities, and clinical application of medicines relevant to MSK conditions. Through case-based learning, an ePrescribing simulator practice and training with Standardised Patients, they will be equipped to prescribe safely and effectively. They will understand what constitutes alignment with institutional governance and national regulatory standards. The course will enable learners to contribute confidently to interdisciplinary care and optimise patient outcomes through timely, evidence-based pharmacological interventions.
