Introduction

According to recent 2025 market analyses, the global AI market has surged past $240 billion, nearly doubling its 2022 value. It is now projected to expand at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of approximately 28% to 34%, potentially reaching over $1 trillion by 2031 as industries integrate agentic and multimodal AI into core operations.

Singapore remains a global leader in AI readiness, ranking first among 109 countries in AI maturity in 2025 (Coursera/EDB). Under its National AI Strategy 2.0, the government aims to triple the local AI practitioner pool to 15,000 by 2026. Demand for AI-specific roles—particularly AI Scientists and Engineers—has seen a 40% increase, significantly outstripping general tech hiring.
