Yan Li
Dr YAN Li is currently Senior Lecturer in Nanyang Business School (NBS) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU). Prior to this position, he took the dual appointment as Professor of Practice in Strategic Management, and Director of Executive Education & International MBA in International Business School Suzhou (IBSS) at Xi'an Jiaotong Liverpool University (XJTLU). He was Senior Lecturer of Strategic Management at Lee Kong Chian School of Business (LKCSB) and Program Director, in Executive Development (ExD) at Singapore Management University (SMU). He also worked in Shanghai Advanced Institute of Finance (SAIF) at Shanghai Jiaotong University (SJTU), taking the responsibility of Director of Executive Education, China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), and École des Hautes Études Commerciales (HEC, Montréal), Canada.
Dr. YAN’s research areas include: international business, strategic management, business model design and innovation (blockchain & cryptocurrency, financial inclusion & social impact investment), radical and unexpected organisational changes, complexity and emotional management in times of crisis from an institutional perspective with qualitative and historical approaches; and more precisely, research topics are: local-global dynamics, business model innovation (blockchain and FinTech business model design), micro-institution’s impact on public sector organizations, planned and unexpected radical organizational changes, strategy process and role of emotion management in situation of crises, collective emotion and social behaviour.
Besides his research, Li YAN has been taking leading roles in strategy formulation and implementation consulting projects and designing corporate programmes tailor-made for global and Asia-Pacific headquarters. MNC clients include Danieli, Sodexo, Bunge, Samsung, BD, IBM, Merck, EY, Jaguar Land Rover, Nestlé, RGE, Towers Watson, Omnicom, L’Oréal, AB-InBev, Nitto Denko, Petrobras, Shanghai GM, and CreditEase, Noah Wealth Management, and Newbanker.
