Swarup Mukherjee
Dr. Swarup Mukherjee is a trained Sports Medicine physician and exercise physiologist with extensive experience supporting athletes, coaches, physical educators, and physically active individuals in training and competition settings. He is an International Sports Medicine Federation (FIMS)–certified Team Physician and a World Health Organisation–certified trainer in disability prevention and rehabilitation, and a Fellow of the European College of Sports Science, bringing globally recognised standards into practical, real-world application. With over ten years of clinical experience, Dr. Mukherjee has worked in high-performance and physically demanding environments where effective injury prevention, taping, soft-tissue care, and recovery strategies are essential. He has been directly involved in on-field injury management, recovery planning, and return-to-play decision-making for national- and international-level athletes across multiple sports.
His combined medical training and applied sports science background allow him to break down complex concepts into clear, usable techniques for coaches, PE teachers, fitness instructors, and athletes. His key areas of skill-related expertise include sports taping, sports massage and soft-tissue manipulation techniques, injury prevention, muscle function, recovery strategies, and movement-based risk reduction. Dr. Mukherjee regularly conducts hands-on, skill-based workshops that emphasise when to use a technique, how to apply it correctly, and how to adapt it to different sporting contexts. Participants can expect practical demonstrations, guided practice, and immediately applicable skills that enhance athlete care, performance support, and injury prevention and rehabilitation.
