Introduction
Sales and Operations Planning (SOP) has emerged as an essential top management tool and this course delves into it. This course integrates concepts in business planning, demand and supply planning, design, Information Technology and change management. This course focuses on planning and control of inventories and manufacturing capacities, demand management, order fulfilment, production scheduling, and other supply chain issues. Learners will be able to develop planning and analytical skills useful for sales and operations planning, demand management, order fulfilment, master production scheduling and planning and control of capacity and requirement planning of component/sub-assembly.This course is credit-bearing (3AU) and stackable to:
- Graduate Certificate in Smart Supply Chain Management (9 AU)
- FlexiMasters in Smart Supply Chain Management (15 AU)
- Master of Science in Supply Chain Engineering (30 AU)
With a minimum Grade Point of 2.5 (which is equivalent to a letter grade of C+) achieved for each course.
Learners will receive their Statement of Accomplishment (for a grade of D and above) or Certificate of Participation for each course—dependent upon their assessment performance.
Note: The FlexiMasters in Smart Supply Chain Management will be suspended after AY2026/27. Jan 2027 will be the last run of the course.
Please note that Jan 2027 will be the last run of the course, with no new intakes offered thereafter. Learners who are unable to complete the FlexiMasters by AY2026/27 will not be able to continue with the FlexiMasters programme, regardless of reasons quoted. Credits earned are only eligible for transfer to the MSc in Supply Chain Engineering (MAE) and not any other FlexiMasters programmes.
