The FISU World University Summer Games (WUG) is a prestigious biennial sports event international multi-sport event involving university athletes from all around the world. It is organised by the International University Sports Federation which was formed in 1949.

Students from the various Universities in Singapore are selected to form the Singapore Combined University contingent to represent the nation at the Games.
