The Hang Seng / City

Financial literacy, which encompasses a holistic view of risk, investment and debt in planning and evaluating one’s financial health, is a crucial skill in the new millennium. The Hang Seng/ City programme attempts to introduce to the residents this holistic perspective, to manage and plan their financial dealings in a mature and responsible manner. It covers the foundation of financial health and the instruments available to achieve the recurrent income ultimately necessary for financial independence and retirement in a responsible and sustainable way. It also covers the practical aspects of investments in fixed and liquid assets - their better management to achieve a balance in growth in the risk-infested environment of the millennium. The tax reporting and management of overseas income is also highlighted in the series of workshops. The workshops are supported by professionals in the property sector and NTU alumni from the financial industry. This programme also examines work-life balance, as well as the life-long learning necessary to support the “learn, unlearn and relearn” attributes seen in the “Graduate of the Millennium”.
