Information for PhD Graduates

All PhD Ceremony related information will be sent to graduates via their NTU email account. Graduates are kindly advised to reactivate their NTU email account if it has been deactivated. For more information, please refer to the FAQ.

Important Dates

15 May - 30 June 2026

Make an appointment via the Serangoon Broadway homepage to place order for your Academic Dress.

Please use the ceremony code sent to your NTU email to login.

15 - 30 June 2026

Register your attendance via Convocation Online Form.

Ballot for an additional guest invitation. Results of the ballot will be released from 15 July 2026 onwards.

4 June - 19 July 2026

Collect your Academic Dress from Serangoon Broadway.

15 July 2026 onwards

Check your NTU email for your assigned ceremony details, QR code and guests tickets.

1 August 2026

Attend your ceremony.

Graduates and guests are advised to arrive at the Nanyang Auditorium one hour before the start of the ceremony.

Collect your official documents at One Stop @ SAC (on an appointment basis).

Eligibility for PhD Ceremony

To be eligible for PhD Ceremony for the Class of 2026, you must have been formally determined by the University as having fulfilled all the requirements for your degree by 30 June 2026.

  • For higher degree students, all reports pertaining to the examination of thesis/dissertation, including oral exam report (if applicable) must reach the Office of Academic Services by 29 May 2026.

For students whose results/reports do not reach the Office of Academic Services by the stipulated deadlines, you will be conferred your degree after confirmation of successful completion of your relevant programme. You will join the convocation in the following year.

 

Register for PhD Ceremony

Only graduates who have registered their attendance online will be permitted to attend PhD Ceremony. 

Each attending graduate can invite 2 guests to attend the ceremony and may ballot for an additional invitation (if required) when indicating the attendance during registration.

The portal for registration of attendance will be open from 15 to 30 June 2026 for graduates and graduating students. 

To register, please prepare your Matriculation Number and ensure that your NTU email account is activated and accessible, as all PhD Ceremony related information will be sent to graduates via this account. If your email account has been disabled, you may reactivate it through ServiceNow.

Graduates may purchase or rent their academic dress from the gown vendor for the ceremony from 4 June to 19 July 2026. You are required to place your order for the academic dress and make an appointment via the Serangoon Broadway homepage from 15 May 2026.

You may choose to make an appointment for the academic dress collection immediately after the submission of the academic dress order form OR at any other convenient time by logging in again.

Please note that all graduates are required to order their academic dresses and make an appointment online no later than 30 June 2026.

Graduates who rent their academic dress are required to return the academic dress to the gown vendor at their studio from 1 to 31 August 2026.

In support of the campus-wide initiative to promote environmental sustainability, the Graduate Listing will be published solely in an electronic format.

The graduate listing includes all graduates from that class year who have been conferred their degrees, it does not indicate ceremony attendance. The listing will be available for the duration of the PhD Ceremony.

The Graduate Listings will be published closer to the Convocation date.

Academic Dress and Dress Code

You must be properly attired as befits the occasion. Academic dress is mandatory for all graduates attending the ceremony and all graduates are advised to observe the following dress code: ​ ​

  • For men, please wear a long-sleeved shirt with collar, a tie (optional), long pants and formal shoes.
  • For ladies, please wear either a long-sleeved shirt or blouse with collar, paired with long pants or knee-length skirt, or a knee-length dress, and covered formal shoes.
The academic gown should only have the accompanying graduation hood affixed to it. Graduates are not permitted to layer other clothing over the academic gown, or have any decorations, messages or symbols attached to the gown or bonnet.  

Any graduate found to be inappropriately dressed will not be permitted to attend the ceremony.

All graduates and guests are required to leave the event area at the end of the ceremony.

Graduates will exit the event area first, followed by the guests. Graduates and guests are to follow the directions of the ushers.

Collection of Degree Certificate and Transcript

For graduates who are not attending the ceremony, the official documents will be available for collection at One Stop @ SAC from 5 August 2026 onwards (on an appointment basis). Graduates will be notified via their NTU email account once the documents are ready for collection at One Stop @ SAC. Stage Photography

The official photographer for Convocation Class of 2026 is EO DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHICS

Purchasing of Stage Photo Packages

Graduates may order their stage photo packages from 21 July 2026 onwards via: https://eodigitalphoto.com/ntu-convocation.

All graduates participating in the convocation ceremonies will have two (2) digital photographs taken on stage. The images capture the moment of receiving the certificate and featuring both the graduate and the presenter:

  • Full-body shot (portrait orientation) 
  • Half-body shot (landscape orientation) - A closer view.

After receiving their certificate on stage, each graduate will be given an order slip with a unique reference code. This code is required to access and purchase the stage photographs online.

To place an order, simply follow the instructions on the order slip. 

 

Upon the successful purchase of the preferred package;

  • Soft copies will be available for download from 19 August to 30 November 2026
  • The physical hard copy prints (including photo folders/frames) will be mailed/delivered approximately 1 - 1.5 months after the order date.
