Senior Vice President (Administration) 

​Ms Tan Aik Na is Senior Vice-President (Administration) at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU), one of the leading research universities in the world. 

Ms Tan joined NTU in August 2016 as Chief Financial Officer. She was concurrently appointed Chief Administrative Officer in April the following year. In January 2018, she was appointed Vice-President (Administration), then Senior Vice-President (Administration) in January 2020. Under her leadership, NTU embarked on a comprehensive strategy to modernise and strengthen the University’s administrative capabilities. The increased use of technological enablers, and focus on organisational and workforce development, have significantly advanced the University’s capabilities to enable and sustain her growth ambitions. For her contributions, Ms Tan was recognised with the Nanyang Alumni Achievement Award in 2018.

Prior to joining NTU Singapore, Ms Tan served as Finance Transformation Leader of The Chemours Company, a spin-off from DuPont. Ms Tan was formerly CFO for DuPont’s industry leading global Titanium Technologies business, the first Asian female to be appointed to the role in DuPont’s history. She was also the Managing Director of Chemours Singapore. During her tenure at Chemours Titanium Technologies, she was a key member of the global leadership driving sustainable growth of the world’s largest TiO2 producer. She was also instrumental in the establishment of a finance function across 45 countries to support the needs of the new public company.

Ms Tan began her professional career as a tax assistant at Price Waterhouse. She joined DuPont in 1994 and held numerous global and regional leadership roles in accounting, corporate treasury, six sigma, financial systems, supply chain, operations, financial and strategic planning until her departure to join Chemours in 2015.

Ms Tan holds a Bachelor of Accountancy degree from the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and is a member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants.
