NTU deepens partnership with Vietnam universities

NTU Singapore is deepening its partnership with two of Vietnam’s leading public universities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) and Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM), through new partnerships that focus on joint research in sustainable development, climate change and air traffic management.The collaborations will enable faculty and students to learn from each other through exchange programmes, and to share and exchange best practices in research areas of joint interest.
At VNU today, NTU Vice-President (Industry) Professor Lam Khin Yong inked two Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) with VNU President Professor Le Quan and VNU-HCM Vice-Chancellor Professor Nguyen Minh Tam respectively.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, who is an official visit to Vietnam and Vietnam’s Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh. Also present were Singapore Education Minister Mr Chan Chun Sing, and Vietnam Minister of Education and Training Mr Nguyen Kim Son.
The two partnerships with VNU and VNU-HCM further NTU’s collaboration with Vietnamese institutions. In February 2023, NTU partnered with Vietnam’s National Innovation Centre, a government agency aimed at supporting and developing Vietnam's start-up and innovation ecosystem through science and technology, to build research translation and innovation capacity for start-ups, research institutions
