New scholarship to develop leaders in global trade

To support the development of future leaders from around the world in international cross-border trade, NTU Singapore today announced new scholarships offered by the Hinrich Foundation, an Asia-based philanthropic organisation focused on advancing mutually beneficial and sustainable global trade.

The Hinrich Foundation Global Trade Leader Scholarships are open to participants of the Nanyang Professional Master of Business Administration (PMBA) programme specialising in International Trading, an 18-month course conducted by the Nanyang Business School (NBS) at NTU Singapore to train experienced professionals in the trade sector to lead effectively across markets and cultures.

With 30 per cent of Asia’s trade conducted through Singapore and over 400 global, regional, and local commodities players located here, there is high demand for expertise in both broad and deep skills for leaders to be effective in a dynamic global trading environment. The Global Trade Leader Scholarship will encourage more professionals to take up the Nanyang PMBA in International Trading and become effective leaders in the sector.
