Seeking Employment

You may seek career guidance or access the CareerAxis to leverage the array of career services offered by NTU's Career and Attachment Office (CAO) before you graduate.

Prior to your graduation, please refer to the step-by-step guide to download and save a copy of your Eligibility for Employment Pass (EP) letter via the  Student One Stop Portal. Scholars who have graduated may write to CAO ([email protected]) to obtain the EP letter.

The EP letter serves to inform your prospective employer that the Singapore Government will exercise flexibility in the assessment of your EP application, in view that you have a bond to serve. Please be reminded to attach this Eligibility for EP Letter in your job application process for potential employers to consider your application fairly, regardless of nationality.

Please refer to the MOM website for more information regarding work passes and permits.

Please be informed that you may apply for a 1-year non-renewable Long Term Visit Pass (LTVP) through the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA). Please refer to the ICA website for more information.

You will have to serve out your scholarship bond in a Singapore entity. Part-time employment will not be counted. Full-time permanent & full-time contract employment with companies registered and based in Singapore will be counted towards the serving of your bond except for the periods of:

i. No-pay leave;
ii. Half-pay leave;
iii. Study leave;
iv. Leave of absence
v. Suspension from duty.

A job seeker typically takes about 3-6 months to find a job in Singapore or longer during challenging times. You are encouraged to expand your job search efforts to areas outside the field of your study. You can take up short-term contracts/stints to keep your resume and skills updated while looking for a job.
Please contact the Bond Management team at [email protected] to update your personal contact and employment details.
You must update your employment status annually following your graduation, or if there are any changes to your employment. Kindly email us to update your profile and employment via Form and submit a proof of employment (e.g. an Employment Certification Letter).
