Group Travel Insurance (GTI) Policy

Chubb Insurance Singapore Limited (Policy Number 52324311) has been appointed by NTU for the Group Travel Insurance.

All full time undergraduate and postgraduate students who matriculated after 2019 and participate in university sanctioned overseas immersion trips are automatically covered under NTU's Group Travel Insurance (GTI) 

For students who matriculated in 2019 and prior, coverage is applicable upon insurance payment.

Students may check with their designated Programme Managers if their overseas trip is a university-sanctioned travel.

In accordance with NTU policy on overseas travel, all NTU students travelling on university-sanctioned trips are required to declare their travel plans on the Travel Declaration and Registry BEFORE their trip.

You may refer to the Summary of Benefits here. Personal trips occurring immediately before or after official travel period may be covered up to maximum of 90 days total. 

Should you require the Certificate of Insurance (COI) for application purposes, please complete your travel details in the  COI Request template (download a copy) and send the completed form to NTUstudenttravel@howdengroup.com. Please provide for up to 3 working days for your COI to be sent by the insurer.

Claims are to be submitted as soon as possible after the occurrence or within 30 days of the occurrence of any event. Upon receipt of ALL supporting documents, insurer will take about 14 to 21 working days to process the claim. For the more complicated cases, a longer duration is expected.

As insurance coverage is only applicable for students travelling on a trip which is approved, endorsed, organised, sponsored or authorised by NTU, you may be required to submit documentary proof to confirm this in the event of a claim – a programme document/email by your Overseas Programme Manager (Staff) will suffice.

In accordance with NTU policy on overseas travel, all NTU students travelling on University-sanctioned trips are required to declare your travel plan on the Travel Declaration and Registry BEFORE your trip.
