The Master of Science Technopreneurship and Innovation Programme (MSc TIP) focuses on educating and nurturing leaders for the entrepreneurship ecosystem, through academic knowledge acquisition, entrepreneurial mindset cultivation, and business skillset development. It empowers participants to be competent in leveraging technology advancements to create social and economic value for the society.

 

  • A good bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in any discipline of study from a recognised university or tertiary institution.
    A provisional degree certificate or a university letter stating the expected graduation date is required for applicants who have not yet completed their undergraduate studies. The original degree certificate must be provided for verification at the point of matriculation, otherwise candidates will not be admitted to the masters programme.
  • Proficiency in English language. Standardised Test Scores: test scores for TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or IELTS (International English Language Testing System) must be submitted by all applicants except those with undergraduate degrees from universities where English was the medium of instruction.
    TOEFL Test Score of minimum 100 (internet-based) or a IELTS score of minimum 6.5 are required. Test dates must be within two years or less from the date of your application.
    A university letter stating that English was the medium of instruction must be provided by all candidates whose undergraduate degrees were taught entirely in English but in a non-English speaking country.
  • A strong passion in entrepreneurship.
  • Work experience is preferred.

The MSc TIP is a 1-year postgraduate programme, offered as full-time and part-time. The programme:

  • Emphasises on experiential learning focusing on technopreneurship and innovation, sets in a rapidly changing global context.
  • On top of the 7 core modules, the programme offers 6 electives​ which focus on three areas: Entrepreneurship Practice, New Venture Financing, and Entrepreneurship Policy for students to develop knowledge and skills for different roles in the entrepreneurship ecosystem. Each student can choose 3 out of 6 electives based on his/her interest.​
  • With a team comprising experienced academics, practitioners and entrepreneurs, the graduate programme blends theory and practice into its curriculum.
  • Incorporating entrepreneurial mindset and behaviour, the graduate programme enables participants to better acquire and apply the knowledge and skills and apply them in real life scenarios.  
  • Meet like-minded people, and the opportunities to engage with various stakeholders in the entrepreneurship ecosystem throughout the programme.

7 Core Courses
The core modules are carefully set according to the programme objective and the talent training need. They form the pillars of the technopreneurship and innovation knowledge system. They not only reflect the unique features and the standard of this programme, but also set specific requirements on the basic quality and competence upon the students.

3 Electives
On top of the 7 core modules, this programme offers 7 electives which focus on three areas: Entrepreneurship Practice, New Venture Financing, and Entrepreneurship Policy for students to develop knowledge and skills for different roles in the entrepreneurship ecosystem. Each student is required to take 3 out of 7 electives based on his/her interest.
