Invitation to Join the 2025 BuilDING Our Future Grand Challenge – A Regional STEAM Competition
As a supporting organization of the 2025 BuilDING Our Future Grand Challenge, CIFAL Singapore is proud to collaborate on this exciting competition hosted by Tramplus, the education stream of Hong Kong Tramways.
This is the first regional competition for secondary school students in Hong Kong and Singapore, and we look forward to school’s participation to make this meaningful event a success.
The competition aims to inspire students to explore the theme:
“Nature in the City: Smart Connections for Sustainable Living”
Participants are tasked with proposing innovative ways to reconnect people and nature in dense urban environments, using smart technologies to create sustainable and biodiversity-friendly solutions.
Target Audience & Deadline
- Students currently in Secondary 2-3.
- The deadline for proposal submission is November 21 23:59 (Friday).
Key Details:
- Preliminary Stage: The first stage will select finalists from Singapore.
- Finale in Nanyang Technology University: Finalists from both Hong Kong and Singapore will compete for the championship title.
- Grand Prizes: Winners can earn up to SG$1650 in cash prizes.
The competition is supported by CIFAL Singapore, NTU and various industry partners, providing an excellent platform for students to showcase their STEAM knowledge and creativity while addressing real-world challenges.
