Jimmy Phoon
Mr Jimmy Phoon was the CEO of Seviora Group from January 2021 until his retirement in August 2025. Seviora Group comprised 5 asset management companies with a total AUM of US$54b. Prior to Seviora, Jimmy was formerly the CEO of SeaTown Holdings International (STHI) from 2010 to 2020. STHI is one of the asset management companies in the Seviora Group.
Before SeaTown, Jimmy was the Senior Managing Director, Head of Strategy at Temasek Holdings. Jimmy joined Temasek in 1999 and has held various roles, including Chief Investment Officer. Jimmy was with Standard Chartered Merchant Bank Asia Limited (“SCMBA”) from 1992-1999. In his eight years with SCMBA, he managed several initial public offerings, public takeovers, mergers & acquisitions and corporate restructurings. From 1988 to 1992, Jimmy was a Deputy Director in the Ministry of Finance of Singapore, where he was responsible for the formulation of corporate and international tax policies.
Jimmy is a director of the Health Sciences Authority and Chairman of its Audit & Risk Committee. He is a member of Nanyang Technological University's Board of Trustees and Chairman of its Investment Committee.
Jimmy holds a Bachelor of Economics (Honors) degree from Monash University, Australia.
