- Advanced Core Modules: Gain hands-on expertise in 3D Printing for Biomedical Applications, delve into the design of Advanced Medical Devices and Systems (including wearables and neurotechnology), and master the application of Polymeric Materials for Biomedical Applications.
- Data-Driven Healthcare: A core module in Data Analytics for Biomedical Applications ensures graduates are equipped to analyze complex biological and healthcare datasets, a critical skill in modern clinical research and personalized medicine.
Dual Specializations for Focused Expertise
The program requires students to complete a full specialization in one of two critical areas, providing deep, industry-aligned knowledge:
- Bioanalytical and Diagnostic Technology: This track focuses on the complete lifecycle of medical devices. It covers essential skills in Biomedical Device Regulatory Systems, project management for the MedTech sector, and the science behind cutting-edge technologies like Microfluidics and Lab-On-Chip and In Vitro Diagnostics.
- Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Engineering: This specialization prepares students for innovation in the biopharma industry. It includes advanced topics such as Drug Delivery and Nanomedicine, Genome Technologies (including CRISPR), and Advanced Analytical & Manufacturing Techniques for the pharmaceutical sector.
- Digital Health Technology and Innovation: This track focuses on device innovation and project management for biomedical devices. It includes topics such as Digital Health Compliance and Innovation, Project Management in Digital World, Wearable Technology for Healthcare Applications.
Pathways to Career Success: Research, Industry, and Entrepreneurship
The program provides multiple avenues for students to apply their knowledge and build a professional portfolio:
- Immersive Research Experience: Students can engage in deep technical work through multi-semester MSc Research projects or gain broad exposure to different research environments in non-credit bearing Laboratory Rotations.
- Direct Industry Engagement: A Professional Internship course allows students to gain practical experience and apply their skills in an authentic biomedical industry setting.
- Fostering Innovation: A dedicated elective in Biomedical Entrepreneurship equips students with the mindset and skills to translate biomedical innovations into real-world business ventures, addressing the unique challenges of the MedTech context.
- Exploring Emerging Frontiers: General electives allow students to explore advanced topics like Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine and Engineering in Mechanobiology.
- Bachelor’s degree with minimum honour (distinction) or equivalent from a reputable University.
- Minimum TOEFL score of 85 or IELTS score of 6.0 (only if your university first degree was not taught in the English language).
- Special consideration will be given on a case-by-case basis to applicants with relevant work experience and recommendation letters.

- Applicants are to submit their applications via the online application portal (Graduate Admission System).
- A S$50 non-refundable application fee (per online application and inclusive of prevailing GST) is payable.
- Starting from AY2026 intake, the application period are as follows:

Please ensure that all mandatory and supporting documents are uploaded in the online Graduate Admission System before submitting your application. Submission of hardcopy documents is not required at the application stage.
Only applications submitted by the stipulated application deadline will be processed.
***Applicants should consider carefully that they are able to cope with work/personal/financial commitments before applying/accepting admission as full-time/part-time candidates. Deferment of admission base on these reasons may not be considered.

- SCs and SPRs who require further assistance may apply for financial aid (up to S$10,900) in addition to the SC/SPR study grant.
- NTU Alumni: On top of the above, alumni can enjoy a 10% grant of the tuition fee. Eligible for holders of bachelor's, master's, and/or doctoral degrees obtained from NTU Singapore.
