Introduction to the core concepts, history, and transformative power of GenAI
  • What is Generative AI?
    Explore how GenAI differs from traditional AI, key models (GPT, DALL-E, diffusion), and the shift from analysis to creation.
  • From Chatbots to Co-pilots
    Hands-on introduction to prompting, AI ethics, and real-world applications across content, code, data, and design.
  • The GenAI Tech Stack
    Understand foundational models, APIs, fine-tuning, and the ecosystem of tools driving the AI revolution.

Session 2: Mastering AI Co-pilots & Assistants
Building proficiency in using AI as a daily productivity partner

    Learn effective prompting strategies for ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, and Claude across writing, research, and ideation.

Experience AI and Innovation at NTU Singapore this Summer

Step into the world of artificial intelligence at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU), one of Asia’s leading universities for Data Science, AI, and Computer Science. Each run of the 5-day AI summer programme, is led by an NTU professor, introduces participants to modern AI, helping them understand key concepts and explore how AI can be applied in learning and work.

Participants will collaborate in teams on a Group Presentation Challenge to analyse real‑world AI applications and present their insights. The challenge fosters healthy competition as teams strive to emerge as the champion. This challenge not only builds teamwork and analytical skills but also gives participants hands-on experience applying AI concepts to real-world scenarios.

This exciting programme also includes exclusive visit to NTU’s state-of-the-art research labs, an industry visit, and an admission talk, which provide insight into university pathways and real-world innovation.

Beyond the classroom, participants will explore Singapore’s cultural landmarks, including Gardens by the Bay and Chinatown, and discover the city’s vibrant culture.

Assoc Prof Kwoh Chee Keong

Assoc Prof Kwoh Chee Keong

Dr. Kwoh Chee Keong is currently in the College of Computing & Data Science since 1993. He received his Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering (1st Class) and Master in Industrial System Engineering from the National University of Singapore in 1987 and 1991 respectively. He received his Ph.D. degrees from the Imperial College, University of London in 1995. His research interests include Data Mining and Soft Computing and Graph-Based inference; applications areas include Bioinformatics and Biomedical Engineering. He has done significant research work in his research areas and published over 90 quality international conferences and over 30 journal papers. He has been often invited as a organizing member or referee and reviewer for a number of premier conferences and journals, including GIW, IEEE BIBM, RECOMB, PRIB etc. Dr. Kwoh is a member of The Institution of Engineers Singapore, Association for Medical and Bio-Informatics, Imperial College Alumni Association of Singapore (ICAAS). He has provided many service to professional bodies and was conferred the Public Service Medal, the President of Singapore in 2008.

Chee Wei Tan

Dr. Tan received the M.A and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University. His research interests are Generative AI, wireless networking, health informatics, machine learning systems and distributed optimization. Some of his research has been published in ACM SIGCOMM, USENIX ATC, IEEE INFOCOM, ACM SIGMETRICS. Dr. Tan has served as the Editor for IEEE Transactions on Signal and Information Processing, IEEE Transactions on Cognitive Communications and Networking, IEEE/ACM Transactions on Networking, IEEE Transactions on Communications and as IEEE ComSoc Distinguished Lecturer. He received the Princeton University Wu Prize for Excellence, Google Faculty Award, 2024 IEEE CAI Honorable Mention Award in Foundation Models and Generative AI, several teaching excellence awards, and was selected twice for the U.S. National Academy of Engineering China-America Frontiers of Engineering Symposium.
