                Ng Theng Haw Alvin

                Ng Theng Haw Alvin

                Alvin Ng Chief Operating Officer, Smart Cities, Asia Pacific, Aboitiz Data Innovation Adjunct Associate Professor, Nanyang Business School, NTU Alvin Ng is the Chief Operating Officer for Smart Cities of Aboitiz Data Innovation (ADI). He plays a key role in continuing the advancement of ADI’s mission to drive the adoption of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence tools and solutions around smart cities. Prior to this, as the Vice President of Digital Solutions, APAC, Johnson Controls, Alvin was responsible for driving the digital and sustainability growth strategy for Asia Pacific region, which includes driving and executing initiatives that increase market penetration, providing relevant digital solutions in the building sector, with focus on digital business revenue growth, partner offerings, sales cycle support and ecosystem representation. Alvin has over 24 years of experience in global sales and product management and has held a series of senior global leadership roles with multinational companies like Wincor Nixdorf AG, Cisco Systems and Rosenbluth International. Prior to joining Johnson Controls, he worked for General Electric as the General Manager for GE Digital, Asia. In addition to his role as the Industry-Faculty lead for ‘Business Consulting’ and ‘Leader as a Coach’ programs for the MBA School, he teaches Digital Transformation, AI for business, Internet of Things and Sustainability leadership programs. He also plays the role of Senior Career Fellow as an executive coach to the Global Executive MBA students.

                Philip Teng

                Philip Teng

                Philip is an engineer by training with over 15 years of experience at DSO National Laboratories, where he served as a Principal Member of Technical Staff. A recipient of the Defence Technology Training Award, he graduated from the National University of Singapore and later earned a Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University under a postgraduate scholarship. At DSO, he played a key role in overseeing technology development and project management in Unmanned and Space Systems, successfully leading satellite launches and advanced engineering initiatives. Beyond his work in engineering and AI, Philip is passionate about education and training. Since 2009, he has been actively involved in professional and continuing education, conducting engineering and software courses at Nanyang Technological University Academy for Professional and Continuing Education (NTU PACE). His expertise spans embedded systems, Internet of Things (IoT), real-time systems, and operating systems, where he shares hands-on industry insights with practitioners. More recently, Philip has expanded his focus to Generative AI and Industry 4.0, training companies and adult learners in leveraging AI-driven transformation for business and industry applications. Philip is also a trainer in Knowledgecom Malaysia.

                Deny Rahardjo

                Deny Rahardjo

                Dr. Deny Rahardjo is a senior technology and security leader with over 30 years of experience delivering digital transformation and operational excellence across the Asia Pacific region. As a dual Chief Information and Digital Officer and Chief Information and Security Officer, he is known for translating complex technology initiatives into measurable business outcomes, strengthening resilience while improving cost and performance discipline. Dr. Deny specializes in designing lean, scalable operating models and establishing Federated Centers of Excellence to break silos, standardize delivery, and accelerate enterprise-wide adoption. A key strength of his is high-impact vendor negotiation and value realization, including engagements with Microsoft and Workday, where he has driven significant efficiency gains and reduced maintenance costs in large enterprise environments. Beyond executive leadership, Dr. Deny is an active thought leader in AI governance and risk management, and a committed mentor in the startup ecosystem. With a PhD and an MBA, he combines academic depth with hands-on execution to help leaders protect digital assets, modernize platforms, and create sustainable business growth.

                Sharon Lim (Dr)

                Sharon Lim (Dr)

                Dr Sharon Lim holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, and a PhD in Computer Science from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. In the early stages of her career, Dr Lim was deeply involved in satellite and space systems development, focusing on onboard computers and computing payloads for space applications. She was a core member of NTU’s team that successfully developed and launched Singapore’s first satellite. In recognition of her contributions to the nation’s satellite and space programmes, she received the Defence Technology Prize (Team) in 2011 and the President’s Technology Award (Team) in 2016. Dr Lim has also been an active contributor to the NTU community through the EEE Alumni, and was recognised for both her professional achievements and service to the university with the Nanyang Outstanding Young Alumni Award. Currently, Dr Lim is the Founder and Director of several Singapore-based companies, including PPIC Technologies and CoolRIOTS. She is deeply passionate about outcome-driven artificial intelligence, and works closely with organisations to translate AI into real operational impact while building strong, future-ready technology and talent teams.
