Student Conduct

Community Standards

NTU is committed to high standards of ethical and civil conduct, and it strives to achieve an environment in which learning is accomplished with openness, honesty, and respect.

The Student Code of Conduct (“Code”) articulates the University’s standards of conduct that are necessary for all students to have a meaningful learning experience. Such standards are intended to cultivate an environment conducive to student learning, within and beyond the formal curriculum.

These community standards are based on the following core values of the University:

  • Truth, and the pursuit of truth, which depends on the integrity of all members of the community;
  • Trust which creates a climate of respect for the individual, and encourages self-respect which makes an individual worthy of trust;
  • Justice which enables a free and fair society; and requires all members of the University community to share the responsibility of upholding high standards of conduct.

 All students must abide by the University Code of Conduct and Student Code of Conduct.
