The Physical Education and Sports Science (PESS) Department at the National Institute of Education (NIE), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, is a leading academic centre for the advancement of knowledge and practice in physical education, sport science, and sport management.
Established in 1984 as the College of Physical Education, PESS has grown in scope and depth to meet the evolving needs of education and sport in Singapore and the region. Today, the department continues to play a pivotal role in preparing educators, researchers, and practitioners through rigorous programmes and applied research.
