Our administrative departments are instrumental in supporting NIE’s infrastructure on matters such as building maintenance, employment, facilities management, finance, hospitality, public relations and staff recruitment.

The Office of Academic Administration and Services (OAAS) is integral for every student at NIE. It is the administrative arm that provides services on all student matters. As the central support for student lifecycle activities, it manages the Student Services Centre, which provides a one-stop service that caters to the administrative needs and general enquiries of students and alumni.

The units under Director’s office work closely with the NIE Director on a wide variety of administrative and executive duties, special projects and strategic initiatives. The Director’s Office also oversees the Office of Strategic Planning and Academic Quality as well as the Centre for Innovation in Learning.

The Office of Academic and Faculty Affairs oversees the administration of all academic staff matters. The Office is also responsible in the development of the next generation of leaders and supports institutional initiatives to enhance communication, mentoring, career development and faculty policy changes.

Strategic Planning and Academic Quality (SPAQ) office is to tap on the synergies and linkages between strategic planning and evidence-informed academic quality enhancement efforts to aid institute-wide planning, decision-making and quality assurance.

The Centre for Innovation in Learning (IN-Learning) supports NIE in becoming an institute of distinction by enabling future-ready teacher education through the co-creation of learner-centred, data-driven and innovative spaces and practices.

The NIE Library and Information Services Centre (LIBRIS) is the largest education library in Singapore and provides resources to support the teaching, learning and research programmes of the institute. It also meets the needs of the education professionals in the Ministry of Education, schools and other related organisations.

The Division of Academic Computing and Information Services (ACIS) oversees and supports the Information Communication Technologies (ICT) needs of NIE.
