About the event

The Singapore Linguistics Olympiad (SLO) is the national chapter of the International Linguistics

Olympiad, one of 13 International Science Olympiads for pre-tertiary students. The SLO takes

place each year at the National Institute of Education as the accredited host of the

competition. The SLO is administered in English and requires no prior knowledge of linguistics

or multiple languages. Everyone is welcome to give it a shot if they believe they have what it

takes!

The 2026 Singapore Linguistics Olympiad will take place on 10 January 2026 (Saturday). 

Contestants will have 4 hours total to complete 4 problems.
