What We Do

Inspiring leaders, empowering educators

The Policy, Curriculum and Leadership (PCL) Department studies, researches and analyzes topics of significance in the fields of policy, curriculum and leadership studies as well as related topics in education in order to discern innovative and critical insights for the sake of advancing these fields and making a scholarly or professional impact.

The department is constituted by professors, lecturers as well as seconded teaching fellows from the MOE, and It aspires to communicate evidence-informed or critically reflective ideas through its courses and programmes.

Mission

Our mission is to advance knowledge and make professional impact in the areas of educational policy, curriculum studies and educational leadership by fostering a vibrant learning environment that combines excellence in teaching, rigorous and impactful research and theoretical studies.

We are committed to the improvement of the conditions of life in Singapore and around the world and we believe that education will be central to this endeavour. Given the complexities of this endeavour, we seek to contribute by supporting wisdom in policy-making, growing discernment in curriculum, and amplify foresight in leadership
