Dr Wu Longkai Invited to give Keynote Address at the International Seminar on Education and Human Technology 2019

Dr Wu presented with a token of appreciation at the International Seminar
on Education and Human Technology
Dr Wu Longkai, Research Scientist of OER, gave an invited keynote address
at the International Seminar on Education and Human Technology, which took place on 26 November 2019 at Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES), Indonesia.
Dr Wu spoke to the audience on the topic of "Technological Innovations in Education: Cases in Singapore", where he shared his research trajectory on the scaling of seamless learning across schools and exploring of questioning dispositions for primary science inquiry in technology-enabled classrooms.
During his visit at UNNES, he was invited to conduct a workshop for students from the Department of Early Childhood Education, and also gave a public lecture to the faculty members from the Department of Education Technology. At the public lecture,
he talked about his work of leveraging on students’ interests as entry to a formal science curriculum to bridge formal and informal learning, as well as using unplugged and computational thinking approaches for teaching computing in
schools.
