Emeritus Professor Looi Chee Kit Receives GSCSE Lifetime Achievement Award

Emeritus Professor Looi Chee Kit has been awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Global Chinese Society for Computers in Education (GSCSE). The award was presented on 3 June 2026 during the 30th Global Chinese Conference for Computers in Education held at The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

The award recognizes Professor Looi’s outstanding scholarly contributions to the field of computers in education, as well as his distinguished achievements in advancing educational innovation and promoting excellence in education. According to the award citation, his long-standing dedication and achievements have profoundly influenced the academic community and established a benchmark for the future development of the field.

Professor Looi is internationally recognised for his contributions to Learning Sciences and technology-enhanced learning. His research has advanced understanding of how technology can support meaningful learning and educational transformation, influencing educational research and practice both in Singapore and internationally.

The Lifetime Achievement Award is among GSCSE’s highest honours and recognises individuals whose sustained contributions have significantly advanced the field of computers in education.
