NIE Faculty Members Take on Leadership Roles in NTU Senate

NIE is pleased to celebrate the appointments and continued service of three faculty members in the NTU Senate, the University's highest academic body responsible for academic governance and standards.

From Academic Year (AY) 2026, Professor Chang Chew Hung will assume the role of Chair of the NTU Senate, having previously served as Deputy Chair. His appointment reflects years of dedicated service and leadership within the University community, as well as his commitment to advancing academic excellence across NTU.

Associate Professor Loh Chin Ee will continue her service as a Senator, entering the second year of her current term from AY2026 to AY2027. Through her contributions to the Senate, she plays an active role in discussions and decisions that shape the University's academic policies, programmes and future directions.

Joining the Senate from AY2026 to AY2027 is Professor Low Ee Ling, who has been re-appointed as a Senator for a two-year term. Her extensive expertise in education and scholarship will bring valuable perspectives to the Senate's deliberations and support its work in strengthening NTU's academic mission.

These appointments underscore the significant contributions of NIE faculty to the broader University community. Through their role as senators, Professor Chang, Professor Low and Associate Professor Loh will contribute to the NTU's academic future and uphold the standards of excellence that define the University.
