NIE Community Members Honoured with the 2026 Service to Education Awards

The National Institute of Education (NIE) congratulates four colleagues and an alumnus who have received the Ministry of Education’s 2026 Service to Education Awards:

• Dr Anitha Devi Pillai
• Associate Professor Teo Tang Wee
• Dr Sitoe Choon Yip, Sunny
• Dr Farhan Bin Ali
• Dr Mark Lim Jian Wei, NIE alumnus

Introduced in 1990, the awards recognise members of School Advisory Committees, School Management Committees and Boards of Governors for their dedicated service to Singapore schools.

Recipients work closely with school leaders to support school programmes, promote student well-being and strengthen partnerships between schools and their communities.

This year, 281 recipients were recognised across three categories: the Gold Award for at least 20 years of service, the Silver Award for 10 to 19 years, and the Pewter Award for five to nine years.

NIE extends its warmest congratulations to our colleagues and alumnus for their dedication and sustained contributions to Singapore’s schools and students.
