Tekad pertahan bahasa, budaya Melayu di kalangan golongan muda & Ingin pupuk cinta bahasa dan budaya dalam diri pelajar

Berita Harian featured Ms Nurin Nasyirah Jahaya, an award recipient from the NIE NTU Teachers’ Investiture Ceremony held online for the cohort of 2020 last week. Her interest to nurture young children started when she was young and that passion eventually led Nurin to register for the Diploma in Education at NIE NTU in 2018. Due to her outstanding dedication, she was awarded the Singapore Malay Teachers’ Union Book Prize and Tan Poey Quee Practicum Book. Another graduand, Ms Nurul Ameera Zackaria, 26-year-old Malay language teacher, was also featured as one of the 951 new and inservice teachers. She was awarded the Singapore Malay Teachers’ Union Book Prize for her performance in Malay literature. Ameera, who was a former Pasir Ris Secondary School student, was inspired by her teacher to enter the education sector. Currently, as a teacher at Pasir Ris Primary School, Ameera actively looks for innovative activities for her students to enjoy.
