Professor Michelle Ellefson visits NIE

On April 12th, Prof Michelle Ellefson spoke at SoLEC about the importance of fidelity in educational research. Fidelity, defined as consistency across implementations, is an important aspect of research in interventions, particularly for data collection. Ellefson’s work focused on how fidelity can be threatened by elements such as the environment and research team, and how this can affect intervention effectiveness and efficacy. Prof Ellefson also engaged in a productive exchange of ideas with researchers from SoLEC during our bi-weekly brownbag meeting, which provided an excellent opportunity for discussion and sharing of knowledge on research in the field.
