Professor Low Ee Ling elected President of the International Academy of Education

Congratulations to Professor Low Ee Ling, President's Chair Professor in Education and Dean of Academic & Faculty Affairs (AFA), on her election as President of the International Academy of Education (IAE).

Based in Berlin, the IAE is a prestigious global academy comprising elected fellows who are internationally recognised for their outstanding contributions to educational research and scholarship. The Academy is dedicated to advancing excellence in educational research, policy and practice through the generation, synthesis and dissemination of evidence-based knowledge to improve education worldwide.

Professor Low's election to the presidency is a significant recognition of her distinguished scholarship, leadership and contributions to the field of education in Singapore and internationally. As President, she will lead the Academy in fostering global collaboration among leading education scholars, promoting high-quality research, and strengthening the connections between research, policy and practice.

The IAE convenes an annual assembly that brings together fellows from around the world for thematic panel discussions, outreach activities and knowledge-sharing sessions that address key issues and emerging challenges in education. Through these engagements, the Academy plays an important role in shaping educational thought leadership and informing educational policies and practices across diverse contexts.
