NIE Researchers Publish in the Journal of Teaching and Teacher Education

Ms Yeo Wan Ting, former Research Associate at the Science of Learning in Education Centre (SoLEC), Dr Tan Aik Lim, SoLEC Research Fellow, and Asst Prof Azilawati Jamaludin, Asst Dean (Science of Learning in Education) at the Office of Education Research and Asst Prof at NIE’s Learning Sciences and Assessment Academic Group, have published in the journal of Teaching and Teacher Education.

The paper, titled “‘I feel like I’m fighting fire’: Teaching the young and educationally disadvantaged”, explores the emotional realities of teaching educationally disadvantaged students aged 7-8 in Singapore, using the lens of the theory of Conservation of Resources.
