New Education Normal: A Synthesis of Local Research Evidence on Information and Communications Technology in Education: How Would it Inform the New Education Normal?

On 16 April 2021, the New Education Normal webinar series saw a panel discussion on “A Synthesis of Local Research Evidence on Information and Communications Technology (ICT) in Education: How Would it Inform the New Education Normal?” where panelists discussed a recent Local Evidence Synthesis (LES) report they published that consolidated the findings of 126 educational technology studies.

The panelists, Dr Wong Lung Hsiang, Senior Research Scientist, Dr Wu Longkai, Research Scientist, and Dr Peter Seow, Research Scientist, from the (CRPP) discussed the potential of ICT in education, summarising key statistics and insights distilled in the LES report, and the implications afforded by ICT for research, practice and systemic reform in the new educational landscape—as shaped by both the pandemic, and the 21st century.

Dr Teo Chew Lee, CRPP Senior Research Scientist, moderated the session, which saw 46 attendees.
