New Education Normal: A Synthesis of Local Research Evidence on ICT in Education (Part II): How Would it Inform Research and Teaching Practices at Institutes or Faculties of Education?

On 30 July 2021, a follow-up to a previous New Education Normal webinar was held. Titled “A Synthesis of Local Research Evidence on ICT in Education (Part II): How Would it Inform Research and Teaching Practices at Institutes or Faculties of Education?”, this was a continuation of “ A Synthesis of Local Research Evidence on Information and Communications Technology in Education: How Would it Inform the New Education Normal?”

In the first webinar, the panelists, Dr Peter Seow, Research Scientist, Dr Wong Lung Hsiang, Senior Research Scientist, and Dr Wu Longkai, Research Scientist from the  Centre for Research in Pedagogy and Practice (CRPP) discussed a Local Evidence Synthesis (LES) report they published that consolidated the findings of 126 educational technology studies. In Part II, Dr Seow, Dr Wong, and Dr Wu, focused on providing recommendations on the use of ICT in teaching practice for pre- and in-service teachers, and potential research directions to support ICT in education.

The webinar ended with a question and answer segment, moderated by Dr Teo Chew Lee, CRPP Senior Research Scientist, and saw 45 attendees.
