Dr Pamela Onishi Publishes Article in Journal “Art Education Policy Review”

OER Research Scientist, Dr Pamela Costes Onishi, published an article in the Art Education Policy Review journal on art education in Singapore. The article titled “Diffusing and sustaining ground-up arts partnership initiatives in a de/centralized education system: the case of Singapore” explains the challenges of diffusing and sustaining research partnerships efforts in the standard-based curriculum structure in Singapore. The article arose from two OER projects initiated by Dr Onishi. The two projects are namely “Community Music Education: Towards the Development of New Pedagogies for the 21st Century” and “Preparing In-service Teachers for Pedagogical Innovation: A Study on the Learning Structures of Community Music for the Nurturance of Arts-based Habits of Mind”.
