Dr Khng Kiat Hui Publishes in Advanced Engineering Informatics Journal
Dr Khng Kiat Hui, Assistant Dean in Research Management at OER and Research Scientist at Centre for Research in Child Development, published an article in Advanced Engineering Informatics Journal. The article, titled “Beyond BCI: Validating a wireless, consumer-grade EEG headset against a medical-grade system for evaluating EEG effects of a test anxiety intervention in school”, examines the correlation between deep breathing and attention and explores the benefits and limitations of the Emotiv EPOC+ system. The article arose from the research study “Effects and mechanisms of a deep breathing intervention for test anxiety — an exploratory study on the use of mobile EEG headsets in educational research”.
