Dr Kenneth Y T Lim Invited to Co-Edit a Special Issue for Sustainability and to Editorial Board of Computers and Education Open

Dr Kenneth Y T Lim, Research Scientist at the Centre for Research in Pedagogy and Practice, has been invited to the Editorial Board of the journal Computers and Education Open, and to be a co-editor of a special issue of the journal Sustainability.

Computers and Education Open is the open access companion publication to the prestigious Computers and Education, one of the highest rated journals in the field of Learning Sciences, with an impact factor of 8.538 (as of July 2021). Dr Lim’s membership of the journal’s Editorial Board brings representation from Singapore to the multi-national board membership, comprising about a dozen established researchers who are each experts in the field.

The special issue Dr Lim is co-editing in Sustainability is themed “Aspirations within Interdisciplinary STEM / STEAM Education under the Education for Sustainable Development (ESD)”. This is based on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal #4, Quality Education, of which ESD is recognised as an integral element to empower learners of all ages with the skills, values, and attitudes to face and address the global challenges we are facing, including climate change, environmental degradation, loss of biodiversity, poverty and inequality. The journalSustainability is a SSCI-indexed Gold Open Access journal with an Impact Factor presently of 3.251 (as of July 2021).
