Dr Kenneth Lim and Dr Uma Natarajan Publish in the International Journal of Educational Management
Dr Kenneth Lim, Research Scientist at the Centre for Research in Pedagogy and Practice (CRPP), and Dr Uma Natarajan, CRPP Research Manager, have recently co-authored a paper which has been accepted for publication in the International Journal of Educational Management.
Together with Assoc Prof Kumar Laxman from the University of Auckland, Dr Natarajan and Dr Lim have written a paper titled 'A National Vision for Information Communications Technology (ICT) in Education: Reflections on Singapore’s ICT Masterplans’. The paper summarises the four ICT masterplans implemented in Singapore since the “Thinking Schools Learning Nation” initiative.
Following the introduction of the first masterplan for ICT in education, the Singapore Ministry of Education ensured that schools had infrastructure, leadership, and necessary teacher training to successfully implement the initiatives. The descriptions of the implementations are valuable lessons for other national systems in the region and beyond, seeking to integrate ICT in their education systems.
NIE staff/students can access the journal for free through the LIBRIS portal at https://login.libproxy.nie.edu.sg/login.
