Dr Ellen Rusman from the Open University of the Netherlands shares more on Seamless Learning Design in the New Education Normal Webinar Series

On 17 January 2023, the Office of Education Research (OER) hosted Dr Ellen Rusman, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Educational Sciences at the Open University of the Netherlands, for the New Education Normal (NEN) Webinar titled “Seamless Learning Design: Supporting Continuity of Learning across Environments with Technology”. In this webinar, Dr Ellen shared various examples of seamless learning scenarios, how design characteristics can be identified, as well as how the seamless learning design paradigm can help to shape and alter the current educational landscape and facilitate lifelong learning.

This was the 15th instalment of the NEN Webinar Series which attracted close to 130 participants comprised mostly school educators, post-graduate students and researchers from Singapore, Malaysia, India, Thailand, Bangladash, Indonesia, Philippines, Taiwan, South Korea, China and United Kingdom. The webinar ended with a Q&A session which was moderated by Dr Wong Lung Hsiang, Senior Education Research Scientist and the co-Programme Director of the Learning Sciences and Innovation Research Programme at the Centre of Research in Pedagogy and Practice.
